Computer cleanup/virus removal tools:
Here are a few programs that I like to use to clean up a computer infected with unwanted programs and viruses.
Malware Bytes - this is a great supplemental program that you can run on demand to help clean up unwanted programs. You can use the free version.
AdwCleaner - another program that can be ran on demand. It may find stuff that Malware Bytes and other programs do not.
CCleaner - This program cleans up web browsers and removes miscellaneous stuff to speed up your computer.
NOTE: You must remove any antivirus products, including any expired products that you may have installed, before you install another anti-virus.
SHTC Members: SHTC includes Trend Micro Maximum Internet Security software with your internet service. You must login the following site to download it. You can install on up to 3 computers.
Time Warner Cable customers: TWC includes McAfee Antivirus software with your service. You will need your TWC email address and password to download it.
Avast Free Edition - it's a free Antivirus software.
Other Downloads and Links:
Dropbox - I love this app. When you save a file to your Dropbox folder on your PC it syncs your files to the internet and to other computers that you have Dropbox installed on. Another cool feature is when installed on your cell phone you can setup to automatically save your camera pics to the Dropbox folder, which syncs to your computers. This special link gets you and I an additional 500mb free. You will have 2.5gb free space. Click on the box below or click here to sign up.
LibreOffice - Click here to download LibreOffice. It's an opensource program, which means it's free. It includes programs similar to Microsoft Word and Excel.
